How do I complete Shopping Actions merchant center settings?
Once you have been approved for Google Shopping Actions, you will need to start configuring your Shopping Actions settings in the Google Merchant Center.
- Add Branding - There are very specific requirements for your branding that you need to implement in order to go live. When branding is ready, you may upload directly through the Merchant Center Shopping Actions tab (Only visible once you have been whitelisted). Please review the branding specifications here.
- Set up Tax & Shipping options If you already have your tax configuration set up for other Google Shopping ads in Merchant Center, it will also work for Shopping Actions. If you have a shipping service set up in Merchant Center, you can either reuse that service or create a new one just for Shopping Actions. Review all information about tax & shipping here
- Set up a Returns Policy - This is done in the Merchant Center. Allow for 30 days for the customer to ship, 20 days for it to reach your return address. This is a participation requirement minimum. Email your return address to Google shopping-actions-support@google.com for them to load/validate. Include company name Merchant Center ID and full address for receiving returns. When you send this email, include your account name and account id, as it is in the merchant center. Review all information about returns here.
- User Roles - Assign User roles specifically for Shopping Actions (In GMC). By default, the Admin user in Google Merchant Shopping settings will be applied as an admin user in Shopping Actions. If you are the Admin user, be sure to specifically apply a user to the Payments module. To do this, go to the upper right of Merchant Center > 3 dot menu > User Roles. You should be able to assign a user as the Payments Manager
