How do I handle orders with Google Shopping Actions?

There are two ways to handle orders for Shopping Actions.

  1. With FeedAMP Orders API

    • FeedAMP makes use of Google's Orders API & helps you automatically ingest and update orders using your own ecommerce or order management system. Here are things to consider if you choose to use the FeedAMP Orders API:

      • Orders statuses and refunds are automatically updated to Google through your own Order Management System (OMS)

      • More timely processing of orders means you are less likely to fail to adhere to Google's policies, and as a result avoid suspension

      • Manage all your orders in your platform, as you do with your everyday business.

      • No need to reconcile between Google and your platform.

      • Feedonomics has FeedAMP order integration available for

        2. BigCommerce

        3. Woocommerce

        4. Magento

      • All other platforms will require either

        1. FTP Integration

        2. Custom API Integration


  1. In the Merchant Center

    • Once orders are placed by customers on Shopping Actions, you can view and update them under the Orders page in Merchant Center. Here are things to consider if you choose to manage your orders this way:

      • More manual data entry required on an ongoing basis

      • Delays in processing orders could result in suspension
